Event in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust Saturday 27 January at Felixstowe Lawn Tennis Club

    MURDER ON THE LAWN!

‘Murder on the Lawn’ was performed by The Papworth Players on Saturday 27th January at Felixstowe Lawn Tennis Club. The play began outside revealing that the club’s star player Chris Mildew had been found murdered on the lawn with a gunshot wound to his chest. The next scenes in the Club House revolved around club ‘issues’ including the Jackamans sponsorship up for grabs, anti-drug inspections and a love affair. After the first half the audience had an opportunity to read the character profiles and inspect the clues left around the club house. The final ‘reveal scene’ was then performed and the murderer revealed!

The evening was thoroughly enjoyed by all, with a lot of strong discussion and opinions on who people believed the murderer to be. A grand total of £500 was raised for Teenage Cancer Trust! (Not much to go until Sophie Papworth achieves the target of £2000 for the London Marathon!)
