Felixstowe Book Festival - online was spot on!
I hope that some of you were able to take advantage of the bookish delights of the weekend's remote Book Festival! For me the highlights were Paul French's illustrated talk on his true account of Shanghai's lawless 1930s "City of Devils", George Alagiah on "The Burning Land", his debut political thriller set in the new South Africa, and Harriet Tyce in conversation with local crime author Ruth Dugdall. Harriet's novel "Blood Orange" raised many searching questions about marriage and love, addiction and delusion, and ultimately innocence and guilt.
